Leftover souvenirs from the 1986 celebration of Texas’ 150th birthday, including caps, mugs, pins, potholders and belt buckles, went on sale at bargain prices Friday.

Sesquicentennial memorabilia, trinkets and collectibles in the inventory of several vendors around Texas were pooled for the three-day liquidation sale at an Austin hotel, officials said.

The asking price for merchandise ranged from as little as 1 cent to as much as $8,000--the price of a limited-edition Winchester rifle.
