Herman Reininga of The Athletics Congress ruled that Greg Foster did not make a false start in the 60-meter high hurdles race Jan. 16 and that Foster’s world-record time of 7.36 seconds will stand and be submitted for official recognition.

Foster ran the race in the Sunkist Invitational meet at the Sports Arena. Reininga made his ruling after reviewing tapes of the race. Bob Hersh, chairman of TAC, had said earlier that at least three of the five runners in the race were off their marks before the starting gun was fired.
