The February issue of Bakersfield Lifestyle magazine is selling briskly because of rumors in town that the scantily clad woman in the cover photograph is adult movie star Marilyn Chambers. The magazine’s publisher, Steve Walsh, says he expects the interest in that photograph to result in a sellout for the first time in the magazine’s seven-year history, but admits he has no idea who the cover model is. “Unfortunately, I wouldn’t know Marilyn Chambers if I tripped over her, and I’m not going down to any of the porno shops to verify it,” Walsh said.
