The peace group International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War protested to ABC network executives Tuesday that the network’s miniseries “Amerika” will reinforce stereotypes about the Soviet Union and could harm efforts to prevent nuclear war. “‘Amerika’ will pour fuel on the embers of the Cold War,” the group said in a letter. “It panders to the worst instincts and most irrational fears of the American public.”
