India Bus Plunge Kills 52

NEW DELHI —
At least 52 people were killed and five injured Wednesday when a bus carrying Hindu pilgrims plunged into a river in Assam state in northeastern India, the United News of India reported. Police reported that the bus went off a bridge near Nowgong, 62 miles northeast of the Assam capital of Gauhati.
