Road-Weary Lakers Play in Phoenix

PHOENIX — The Lakers, who have suffered double-figure losses in two of their last three games, will end a stretch of seven road games in eight playing dates with a game here against the Suns tonight.
The Lakers, who lost by 17 points in Dallas Saturday and by 24 in Seattle Wednesday, scored a record-tying 89 points in the first half in their last meeting against the Suns, a 155-118 win in the Forum on Jan. 2.
Phoenix, which puts five rookies on the floor, had an easy 131-104 win over Golden State Wednesday, the Suns’ third straight. Larry Nance, who did not play in the blowout against the Lakers, had 29 points and 10 rebounds.
