A federal judge in San Diego has temporarily blocked the federal government from assigning a woman marine biologist to a tuna vessel with an all-male crew. U.S. District Judge William Enright set a Feb. 4 hearing after Assistant U.S. Atty. Karen Schichman said female observers are entitled to equal employment opportunities in a job that has been restricted to males.
