California Projects Garner 11 of 41 Marketing Awards

Del Rey Colony, a Marina del Rey town-house development by Christiana Community Builders, San Diego, won six awards--including Project of the Year of less than 100 units--at the MIRM awards program during the annual convention here of the National Assn. of Home Builders.

California projects won 11 of the 41 gold MIRM (Members of the Institute of Residential Marketing) Awards in 17 categories from the National Sales and Marketing Council of the builder group. The awards honor brochures, advertising campaigns, sales centers and other marketing elements.

Other California gold award winners included:

Vista Valley, Vista, by Allen Properties Development Co./Recreations of California Inc., Newport Beach; Santa Fe, Valencia, the Valencia Co.; Mission Viejo, the Mission Viejo Co.; the Willows in Moorpark, by Urban West Communities Inc., Santa Monica.

Also, Ranchwood in Rancho Santa Margarita, Wittenberg-Livingston Inc., Newport Beach; The Homes of Santa Fe/Rams Hill, Borrego Springs, DiGiorgio Development Corp., Borrego Springs, and The Townhome Series at University Towne Square, San Diego, by the Douglas Allred Co., San Diego.

Marketing firms honored with gold awards included Carl Terzian Associates, Los Angeles; Fawcett Productions, Santa Ana; The Good Guise, Encino; Green, Martin & Nevins, Costa Mesa; Albers & Albers Inc., Fullerton; Josh Freeman Design Office, Los Angeles, and Roni Hicks & Associates Inc., San Diego.

California-based architects and designers cited for gold, silver and bronze MIRM awards include Richardson, Nagy, Martin, Newport Beach; Carole Eichen Interiors, Santa Monica; Interior Design Development, Costa Mesa; Creative Design Consultants, Costa Mesa; Berkus Group, Santa Barbara; Color Design Art, Pacific Palisades, and the Peridian Group, Irvine.
