The new $26-million Lila Acheson Wallace Wing of New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art opens to the public today. The new wing devoted to 20th-Century art contains 40,000 square feet of gallery space, almost the size of the city’s 48,000-square-foot Museum of Modern Art.
