Melville P. Windle was named to the position of group vice president and general counsel for the 20th Century Insurance Co. in Woodland Hills. The post was previously held by Neil H. Ashley, 63, who was appointed president and chief operating officer last September.
Before joining 20th Century, Windle, 60, was senior vice president and general counsel for Transamerica Corp.’s Los Angeles office.
