The American Film Institute on Wednesday unveiled plans for its ambitious AFI Fest-Los Angeles, the resurrected version of Filmex. The 15-day festival, beginning March 11, will open with a tribute to Hollywood producer Hal Wallis, whose 45-year career numbers more than 400 films, including “Casablanca.” The festival will present more than 100 films from 37 countries.
