Century Freeway Annexation Area Zoning Approved

Hawthorne — The City Council has voted to establish zone classifications for territory within the proposed Century Freeway annexation area.
The council approved five residential, commercial and limited-industrial zones for the 40-acre area bounded by the Century Freeway, Imperial Highway, Inglewood and Prairie avenues. The annexation, initiated by the city last year, will require the consent of a majority of the area’s residents.
