TRW Appoints Edsel Dunford to Key Position

Edsel D. Dunford has been named an executive vice president of TRW Inc. and will succeed the retiring George E. Solomon as general manager of TRW’s electronics and defense sector in Redondo Beach, the company announced Wednesday.

He will assume the general manager’s post in May. Solomon’s retirement is effective in August.

Dunford, who has been with TRW since 1964, was named deputy general manager of the electronics and defense sector in December. Before that, he had been vice president and general manager of TRW’s space and technology group.
