A University of Missouri football player has been accused of making an obscene telephone call, making him at least the eighth member of the team to be arrested this semester.

A university police spokesman said that nose tackle Darryl Darling was arrested last week on a misdemeanor charge of making an obscene call. He said Darling admitted calling a woman at the university’s health sciences center.

According to police, the woman used the university’s new phone system to transfer the call to university police. They traced the call to Darling’s room.
