Westwood : UCLA Gets Scholarship Funds
UCLA has received more than $1 million from the estate of Meridian Ruth Ball for a scholarship fund named for her and her husband, Gordon Ball.
The fund will provide financial aid for undergraduate students, and the amount and number of scholarships will vary each year depending on the need and number of applicants.
Meridian Ball, who died in 1984, was a member of UCLA’s faculty for 31 years. Her husband, who died in 1982, was a professor emeritus of zoology and a 55-year member of the faculty.
