An Iranian missile destroyed at least one house in Baghdad, killing several members of a family and wounding many other people, Iraqi state television reported. Iran said the missile’s target was a “military-economic center,” but residents said it hit a palm grove in a residential-agricultural area. Iran radio, which can be heard in Baghdad, had warned Iraqis to leave the capital “to remain safe” from attacks carried out “in reprisal for continuous Iraqi air attacks on Iranian residential areas.”
