Mafia Boss Arrested

PALERMO, Sicily —
Police arrested a suspected Mafia boss Thursday in a dawn raid by 100 officers on a remote house in Sicily. Police said that Antonino Gargano, one of about 100 fugitive suspects being tried in their absence at the mass trial of 450 alleged Mafia members, had been on the run since 1985. He was wanted on charges of criminal association and arms and drugs trafficking.
