Sri Lanka Troops Attack Separatists’ Stronghold

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka —
Security forces launched a fresh offensive in the Tamil separatist stronghold of Jaffna in northern Sri Lanka on Friday, killing four men and wounding six others, the government said.
The action was the latest in the battle between government forces and guerrillas fighting for an independent Tamil homeland.
