Forward Pato Margetic scored two goals to lead the Kansas City Comets to a 4-2 Major Indoor Soccer League victory over the Lazers Sunday.

With the score tied, 2-2, going into the fourth quarter, Margetic put in the game winner at 4:16 and then added a power-play goal at 13:21.

Gino Schiraldi's goal early in the first quarter gave the Comets a 1-0 lead, and Louie Nanchoff made it 2-0 at 2:06 of the second.

Lazer rookie Jim Kavanaugh made it 2-1 at halftime with his first goal in the MISL. The Lazers had gone 145 minutes without scoring a goal, an MISL record.

A third-quarter power-play goal by Willie Molano, which deflected off Comet defender Tim Clark, tied the score at 2-2.

The win was the Comets (12-14) third in a row and the second under new Coach Dave Clements.

The Lazers (6-18) have lost eight straight.
