Twelve youths have been indicted in New York in connection with the Howard Beach racial attack that led to the death of a black man, it was reported. A Queens grand jury handed up the indictments Friday but their contents were sealed pending arraignment today in Queens Supreme Court, according to the New York Times and WNBC-TV. The newspaper reported that an unidentified official said the indictments “ran the whole gamut” of charges, including murder, but that not all 12 youths were indicted on the same charges. WNBC-TV said the indictments included three murder charges.
