Texas Killer Receives Stay 13 Hours Before Execution

HUNTSVILLE, Tex. —
The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday blocked the execution of a man in Texas just 13 hours before he was to die for shooting a jeweler to death during a robbery in 1982. The stay for Elliott Rod Johnson, 28, will remain in effect until the court acts on his appeal.
