Afghan Rebel Missiles Hit Bus Depot in Kabul
Afghan rebels launched a missile attack on a Kabul bus depot, wounding one person and damaging several buses and buildings, Radio Moscow reported Saturday.
The report, quoting the official Afghan government radio in Kabul, said the rebels fired seven surface-to-surface missiles in the attack early Friday. It gave no other details.
In addition, the Soviet news agency Tass said that guerrillas on Tuesday had attacked 18 Afghan villages and other places housing government forces who have been observing a unilateral cease-fire since Jan. 15.
Pakistani-based Muslim guerrillas have rejected the cease-fire, part of a government peace package aimed at ending seven years of civil war.
