Peru Official Clubbed to Death by Guerrillas

AYACUCHO, Peru —
A lieutenant mayor of an Andean village was clubbed to death by Maoist guerrillas, police said Saturday.
They said a group of Sendero Luminoso (Shining Path) guerrillas occupied the village of Tintay, 120 miles east of here and executed Pablo Torbisco, who belonged to the governing American Popular Revolutionary Alliance.
