18 Killed in Truck Crash

CUZCO, Peru — A flatbed truck with 23 people aboard slid off a rain-damaged mountain road into a 100-foot gully, killing 18 people, police said Saturday. The accident occurred Thursday 95 miles south of Cuzco, site of the Machu Picchu Inca ruins.
