Alps Favorite Place

Amen to Jerry Hulse’s great story on the Swiss Alps (Jan. 18), our favorite place. Jerry mentioned the melody of cowbells and how the memories linger of the Grindelwald area. The whole area around Interlaken, Grindelwald and the two beautiful lakes of Brienz and Thun are unforgettable. We found the area beautiful in the winter and even better in the summer.

Jerry mentioned in his Travel Tips the Grand Hotel Regina in Grindelwald, a wonderful hotel run by the Krebs family. We would like to recommend, as well, the Krebs Hotel in Interlaken, just down the road apiece from Grindelwald. We paid 140 Swiss francs. Hotel Krebs, Bahnhofstr. 19, CH-3800 Interlaken.
