USIU’s Maritz Tied for 2nd in Women’s Golf Tournament
United States International University’s Laurette Maritz shot a par 72 to tie for second place after the first round of the Arizona Women’s Collegiate Tournament on the Randolph North Golf Course.
Arizona State has a seven-stroke lead in the 14-team tournament with a 298. New Mexico is second at 305 and USC is third with a 307. USIU is ninth at 321 and San Diego State is 11th with 324.
Pam Wright of ASU and Terra Flemming of New Mexico are tied for first place at one-under 71. Maritz is tied with Kate Golden of Texas.
