Share

Compounding Technology Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Costa Mesa-based CIMCO, has signed a two-year contract with Toyo Soda Mfg. Co. to produce plastic components from materials supplied by Toyo, a subsidiary of Toso Susteel Co., a Japanese chemical company. CIMCO is a plastics manufacturer.

Compounding Technology will process plastic resin material into pellets, which Toyo Soda, a plastics supplier, will market in the United States. The plastics are used in commercial, industrial and medical products.

Linda M. Thomas, CIMCO corporation relations supervisor, declined to disclose the monetary value of the contract. However, David Butterworth, a Wedbush Securities Inc. research analyst, predicted that the contract will increase CIMCO’s fiscal 1988 earnings by about a nickel a share, a total of $112,000 based on Cimco’s 2.25 million common shares outstanding.
