Duarte : Agency Seeks Expansion
The owner of Arcadia Nissan has asked the Duarte Redevelopment Agency to assemble a site for his agency on four acres of land at the northwest corner of Central and Buena Vista avenues.
The site along the Foothill Freeway includes the Duarte High School tennis courts, a portion of Duarte Park and eight homes.
Bruce Low, who also owns a Suzuki agency that he moved to an adjacent site last month, said he expects that moving to the new site, which has freeway exposure, will double his sales, generating $500,000 in sales tax revenue for Duarte.
Arcadia Nissan and Fougler Ford, currently located on Huntington Drive, are the last two auto dealerships in Arcadia. Fougler Ford will move to Monrovia’s new Mountain Avenue Auto Center next year.
