Bruin and Trojan Track Teams in Season Openers

UCLA and USC each will open the track and field season today. The Bruins will play host to San Diego State and Cal State Los Angeles at 1 p.m., and the Trojans will visit UC Irvine for a triangular meet with the Anteaters and Cal Poly Pomona at 11:30 a.m.

Women’s teams from UCLA and USC will be meeting the same opponents today. The Bruins were 9-0 in dual meets last year and were named by Track & Field News as the country’s best dual-meet team. UCLA finished eighth in the NCAA meet in 1986, and USC was ninth.
