JOLIET, Ill. —
An inmate who rode out of the maximum-security prison here on a movie crew’s truck was recaptured in South Dakota, officials said Tuesday.
Daniel F. Duane, 32, was arrested Monday night during a traffic stop in Rapid City, S.D., by a trooper who noticed a tail light was out on the car he was driving, Illinois Corrections Department spokesman Nic Howell said.
Duane escaped Saturday during the filming of the movie “Weeds,” starring Nick Nolte, at Stateville Correctional Center.
