Beverly Hills Smoking Law
I applaud the Beverly Hills City Council for its recent decision to prohibit the smoking of tobacco in local restaurants. The time has come to protect the rights of nonsmokers and considerate smokers. Soon, other conscientious and courageous city governments will follow Beverly Hills’ example.
Allowing smokers to set small fires in their mouths at tables next to others is a dangerous and unhealthful practice. I am elated that Beverly Hills is a leader in the extinguishment of this nasty problem.
