The World : Afghans Warned on Raids
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mohammed Khan Junejo warned Afghanistan that his country would not tolerate attacks by its warplanes and said that the air force is on alert after raids that killed 81 people and injured more than 250 in refugee camps last week. Junejo said “constant escalations” in bombing raids in areas bordering Afghanistan had forced his country to take “all precautionary measures.” In Kabul, Afghan officials denied their forces carried out air raids in Pakistan and called the reports baseless.
