Republic Federal Savings has promoted Chris A. Oman to controller. He will be in charge of accounting department operations.

Oman, a certified public accountant, joined Republic in 1985 as assistant controller. She previously worked as a controller with an Oakland savings bank and before that was a senior auditor with Peat, Marwick & Co.

Republic Federal Savings, based in Woodland Hills, has $825 million in assets and 15 branches in Southern California.
