Carter Doubts Reagan Can Admit a Mistake

ATLANTA —
Former President Jimmy Carter said President Reagan must admit to the American people he made basic mistakes in selling arms to Iran, but he doubts Reagan will do it.
“There is some doubt in my mind if President Reagan is psychologically capable of admitting that he has ever made a serious mistake,” Carter said Monday in an interview with the Atlanta Constitution and the Atlanta Journal at his home in Plains.
