Accord Heads Off Strike Against 13 Hawaii Hotels

HONOLULU —
Negotiators reached a tentative agreement on a new contract Tuesday, heading off a strike against 13 major hotels by nearly 8,000 employees. Members of the Hotel and Restaurant Employees Union will vote on the three-year agreement next week, a spokesman said.
