Rare Snowfall Slows Mexico Area Traffic

MEXICO CITY —
Highway crews worked Friday to clear the Mexico-Toluca highway after a rare snowfall in the area, and newspapers reported that at least four homeless people died in below-freezing temperatures.
The Excelsior news service said that four inches of snow covered the highway early Friday. Parts of the road were closed because of icy conditions, traffic congestion, accidents and the snow-clearing operation.
