About 35% of the 518,000 square feet of office space in downtown San Diego’s $143.5-million Symphony Towers has been leased, the most successful pre-construction leasing activity in county history, according to a local commercial brokerage firm.
Grubb & Ellis Commercial Brokerage Services says 148,000 square feet of space in the project’s 34-story office tower has been leased to several firms, including AT&T; and accountants Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. The development also includes a symphony hall restored by the San Diego Symphony Orchestra Assn., and a Marriott Hotel. Build out is expected by the end of next year.
