30 Stocks in Dow Index Reshuffled

Dow Jones & Co. shuffled the stocks in its widely followed industrial average Wednesday, dropping Owens-Illinois Inc. and Inco Ltd. in favor of Coca-Cola Co. and Boeing Co.

The change takes effect with the opening of trading today.

Dow Jones periodically changes components of the 30-stock average if it decides a shift is necessary to make the index better reflect the overall market or changes in the component companies.

The last previous change in the Dow industrials was on Oct. 29, 1985.
