The FBI credited a 5-foot, 6-inch, 150-pound cabbie with the single-handed capture of a burly fugitive wanted in connection with a shoot-out with Los Angeles police officers six months ago that left one man dead. Sean Singletary, 20, nearly 6 feet tall and 240 pounds, was brought to FBI headquarters by the 30-year-old cabbie, who asked not to be identified, FBI spokesman Jim Neilson said. The suspect, reputed to be a street gang member and cocaine dealer, fled the scene of a Sept. 9 shootout in which his companion, Robert E. Scott, 22, was killed. The cab driver told FBI agents that he recognized Singletary from posted bulletins. Instead of taking the fugitive to his requested destination in South-Central Los Angeles, the cab driver drove him to the Federal Building in Westwood, authorities said.
