Peter Sellers’ Daughter Sentenced to Probation for Cocaine Ring Role

Victoria Sellers, daughter of the late comic actor Peter Sellers and actress Britt Ekland, was sentenced Wednesday to three years on probation for her involvement in a Hollywood-based cocaine ring.

Sellers, 22, who faced a maximum penalty of three years in prison, was also ordered to take urine tests for drug abuse and to complete 600 hours of community service during her probation.

U.S. District Judge Dickinson Debevoise said the lenient sentence and his recommendation that Sellers, a British citizen, not be deported were influenced by her testimony against other members of the drug ring.

“I’m glad it’s all behind me,” Sellers said. “Hopefully, I can resume doing what I want to do, acting in movies and TV.”

Sellers was arrested in March, 1986, on a federal drug conspiracy charge. She was allowed to plead guilty to a lesser charge in May in return for her testimony.

Sellers testified Wednesday against her former boyfriend, Phillip Sena of Los Angeles, the alleged enforcer for a bicoastal cocaine ring that prosecutors say relied on violence, threats and burglary to collect debts and obtain cocaine.

Her testimony previously had helped to convict another member of the ring and had persuaded the alleged ringleader of the operation, her manager, Reed Wallace, to plead guilty.
