‘Grim Battle’

I would like to commend you on the editorial (March 8), “AIDS: the Grim Battle.” There are some organizations that are attempting to meet the needs of the community in this crisis. Good Shepherd Hospice is one of these agencies in Los Angeles. We provide volunteers to work with the terminally ill and their families in their homes. Our long-term goal is to be able to provide in-house care, but lack of funds makes this impossible at the present time.
