Czech Official Named to Central Committee

PRAGUE, Czechoslovakia —
Ladislav Adamec, a deputy premier of the Czech Republic since 1969, was named to the presidium of the national Communist Party Central Committee on Friday, the state news agency CTK said.
Adamec is a protege of Premier Lubomir Strougal, leader of a small group of party members advocating Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev’s economic and political reforms.
