Jon Maddox has been hired as president and chief executive officer of Charter Savings Bank in Huntington Beach, replacing Ronald W. McKendry, who was acting chief executive for the past year. Maddox, 38, of Laguna Hills was senior vice president and chief executive officer for the past four years at Guardian Savings & Loan Assn., also in Huntington Beach. McKendry of Huntington Beach returned to his duties as chief financial officer.
