FOREIGN TOURIST OFFICES

To get the most out of a trip, do your homework before you leave home. Finding out about the places you plan to visit enhances your understanding and appreciation of them. Ask questions of your travel agent, air or cruise line. Visit bookstores and libraries; read travel guidebooks and articles about your destinations.

Good sources of information are the tourist offices of the countries you will be visiting. Ask them for information about your special interests--museums, cultural events, accommodations, restaurants, sightseeing attractions, night life, etc.

The tourist offices may also provide you with maps and brochures about places of interest, currency, climate and clothing, driving, tours, shopping and tipping.
