Front-Page News

What a relief to read today's front page (March 17) and not find one incident of murder, rape or any other kind of violence. Such stories are scattered elsewhere in the paper.

What we got are such headlines as: "Wall Street Discipline Under Fire," "Ex-Chancellor, Wife Surrender in Fraud Case," "N.Y. Rep. Biaggi Indicted on Bribe, Conspiracy Counts," "Icahn Takeover Activities Being Investigated by SEC."

No murder, no mayhem; just monkey business, as usual.
