The Air Force has been forced to limit flight maneuvers for crews training in the new B-1B bomber, officials said. Lt. Col. Jeff Baker, a spokesman for the Air Force Systems Command, said the flight restrictions imposed last month centered on the use of the plane’s terrain-following radar system and its electronic counter-measures equipment, or radar-jamming gear, which have been found to be incompatible. The disclosure came the same day as a “media day” to show off the plane at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas.
