A bank that foreclosed on a farm loan to Iowa Lt. Gov. Jo Ann Zimmerman bought her house, allowing the state official and her husband a year to refinance their debts and regain title to the house. Zimmerman, who was elected as Iowa’s first woman lieutenant governor in November, did not attend the sale. The Zimmermans had used their home as collateral on a $95,000 loan from Ankeny State Bank for their ailing cattle business.
