A motion to transfer Alex English’s lawsuit against Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to U.S. District Court in Los Angeles was filed in a federal court in Denver. English had filed suit last month against Abdul-Jabbar, claiming that the Laker center owed him and Brad Davis of the Dallas Mavericks $150,000. Attorneys for Abdul-Jabbar had responded by adding English as a defendant in the $55-million suit against Tom Collins, the business manager who at one time represented both players.
