Open House to Show Renovated Lummis Home

A public open house is scheduled for next Sunday at the landmark rock-faced home of the late pioneer journalist, Charles Fletcher Lummis, at 200 East Avenue 43, Highland Park, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to mark completion of the first phase of a renovation and remodeling project.

Volunteers will conduct tours of the home and gardens. Funding for improvements came from community groups and Robert Perry, professor of landscape architecture at Cal State Pomona, designed the new garden.
