Fans’ Rebuttal: Show Us Respect and Sign Raines
On a recent early-morning talk show, the late Walter O’Malley was quoted by George Steinbrenner as wisely telling him not to field a winner every year because the fans will expect it. It is obvious that Dodger management subscribes to this let-then-eat-cake theory. This policy will continue only as long as fans continue to support this commitment to mediocrity.
